Stadion Shakhter Ltd. emerged on the construction map of Donbass on 1 October 2004, when the new 5-star stadium had not been launched yet. The project's customer had faced numerous challenges, which Stadion Shakhter Ltd was expected to address. For over four years, the new team has successfully fulfilled the set objectives and almost completed the project. No wonder, as the team consists of professionals, who constructed other landmark facilities in the region , including 5-star hotel Donbass Palace. Today the Company includes both the project team engaged with the stadium object from the very start, and maintenance team , which is gathering momentum.

The stadium's project team has committed itself to the investor and the Club to manage the project and has been consistently meeting the obligations. In particular, it deals with:
- Formalizing the land allocation papers for construction purposes
- Ensuring site exploration and collecting source data for design;
- Controlling the quality of design documents (including those developed in compliance with UEFA requirements and standards, and local construction regulations);
- Obtaining approvals of design documents by Ukrinvestekspertiza investment expert examination organization;
- Obtaining construction permits;
- Collecting source data to launch construction;
- Holding a tender to select the general contractor and subcontractors; and signing contracting agreements with them;
- Supervising construction and erection works; ensuring technical supervision at the site;
- Controlling purchases of materials and equipment;
- Commissioning the facility and formalizing ownership rights;
- Providing legal and financial support of the project;
- Project risks control.

Despite major inconsistencies with local design regulations and the need to adjust and improve the project in line with the requirements of the customer, the project team intends to complete the construction to fixed deadlines . The high quality of design documents and construction and erection works resulted in wide acclaim by UEFA inspectors.
